I started working in the IT Field in June of 2000. It didn't take long before I realized that this is what I wanted to do for a career. I majored in Computer Information Systems at Cal Poly and emphasizing in Web Development. I also have a minor in marketing management to help assist me with the User Interface aspects of software.
I primarily work with the JAVA Programming Language. I have experience working with a variety of JAVA technologies such as Web Technologies (i.e. JSTL, JSP's, Servlets, etc.), Web Services and many open source frameworks/libraries such as Struts/Spring. I have even begun to branch out to some of the newer technologies such as Portal and SOA methodoligies (I am learning BEA's Aqualogic Service bus, which is extremely cool!).
Most of my experience has come working on Web-based applications. In addition to Java web applications, I have done numerous websites ranging from a corporate business site to a small e-commerce site.
Some of the other languages and technologies that I have knowledge of include IBM technologies (WebSphere, WebSphere Portal, DB2, Tivoli, Rational Software Architect) and BEA technologies (WebLogic, AquaLogic Service Bus, Jython). I am always a "Student of the game" so to speak, as I am constantly reading and honing my knowledge through books, tutorials and acquiring professional certifications. |
